Discuss CPS interactions with other agencies and the limitations of communication as it relates to the allegations of abuse or neglect that is investigated; An in depth discussion of DFPS practice with a focus on those critical initial interactions with family, collaterals, and supports.

Marco Quesada is Substance Use Specialist Lead for Child Protective Investigations at State Office. Marco is working with various groups to help in the adoption and streamlining of Plans of Safe Care for Women and Children. Marco also works to improve DFPS policy related to substance use related issues to ensure that current best practices are adopted and that staff work with families to address issues in a manner that respects the family and their strengths.
