Full course description
Oxford Houses and Pregnant or Parenting Women
June 7, 2021 11:00-12:30 PM CST Live on Zoom
Nearly 1000 women's Oxford Houses exist around the country. Some of those houses have room for full-time mothers. Over the last 45 years, Oxford House has learned through experience how a small group of women can live together and self-govern a home through democracy and peer interaction. This presentation will review the structure and model of Oxford House and explain, in detail, how Women's houses and Women with Children's houses operate a bit differently to provide safe and structured sober living.
Jackson Longan has been in long-term recovery since 2006. He is currently a Regional Manager for Oxford House, Inc. and has helped open over 50 houses in 5 different states over his 14 year career.
