Full course description

We invite you to to participate in a 2 hour training regarding Keys to Understanding and Managing Challenging Behaviors.  Learn strategies which can be implemented when working with clients who demonstrate behaviors associated with dementia. These include communication strategies, environmental modification, caregiver response, and investigation of triggers.

Presenter: Laura Novak is a clinical assistant professor and occupational therapist at UT Health San Antonio. She works with clients and caregivers with the Biggs Institute for Alzheimer's and Neurodegenerative Diseases and the Caring for the Caregiver program. She has 20+ years of clinical experience working with clients in skilled nursing and long-term care, acute rehab, home health, and outpatient clinics.
