This course provides background information on substance use, medication for Opioid Use Disorder, prescription monitoring programs, and harm reduction strategies. Co-occurring disorders, the role of trauma in Substance Use Disorders in women, characteristics of a trauma-informed approach to care, and the effects of substance use during pregnancy are also covered in this course.
