This course covers information about Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) and Newborn Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome (NOWS). It will describe symptoms and discuss the frequency at which NAS occurs and costs associated with the syndrome. This course will explain how NAS is assessed and managed. It will also discuss ways to eliminate barriers to healthy maternal-infant attachment.
